– Mensahero News Magazine
It’s been for two weekends now that a number of Mensahero News Magazine writers, all OFWs based in Saudi Arabia, are enjoying their casual weekend chat in Riyadh. Just a couple of weeks ago, their meet up was held at Manny Lauzon’s Residence, and last Saturday, 17th of January, the group again enjoyed a roundtable talk on various issues at the residence of Erlinda Rueda-Ulita, their colleague and active Filipino community leader, who had recently celebrated her birthday.
As of this writing, the Mensahero editorial board and writers are eyeing to wrap-up the nitty-gritty and plan of action in view of conducting a ‘Short Story Writing Workshop’ to be piloted in Riyadh and in Manila in cooperation and coordination with PINOY SINING (The Filipinos for Arts & Culture) and other interested non-profit Filipino organizations in the Kingdom and in the Philippines — a literary move they would like to undertake before launching the “Mensahero Short Story Writing Competition’ in English and Filipino.
Last Saturday casual weekend chat was attended by J. Nava Cruz and Rodel J. Menda, Mensahero Founders and Managing Directors, Federico Yuzon, Eissa Garcia, Rodil Fadol, all Mensahero contributing writers; Mr. & Mrs. Manny and Mellie Lauzon, Mrs. Erlinda Rueda Ulita and Mr. Arche Peña, all Filipino community leaders who are connected with PINOY SINING (The Filipinos for Arts & Culture) and Computer Society of Filipinos (Comsofil).
